TRNC and UK chambers sign protocol
A protocol has been signed between the TRNC’s Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) and the UK’s Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce (CTCC).
TCC chairman Muhammet Yaşarata said it envisages investment and trade opportunities in both countries, and support in marketing TRNC products in the UK. KTTO will also help address the property problems of UK Turkish Cypriot buying in the TRNC.
The two chambers will also be able to hold joint seminars and exhibitions.
KTTO chairman Turgay Deniz said the collaboration means a “win win” situation.
In his statement, CTCC chairman Muhammet Yaşarata said UK-based businessmen are constantly visiting the TRNC and the chambers are working towards improving the TRNC in every aspect.
He added that his chamber is involved in lobbying and the two parties will start working to create a network to include the UK-based Turkish Cypriots, who have become a “big strength”.
